Commissioners approved an updated Child Welfare Information System (CWIS) data‑sharing agreement used by Children & Youth Services that will run from Oct. 1, 2026 through Sept. 30, 2027.
A staff member explained the agreement is a routine continuation used by several counties, imposes no new financial commitment, and sets standards for confidentiality, how information is entered into the system and password/IT requirements. The board moved, seconded and approved the agreement by voice vote.
