Oversight panel lining up outreach: CU fair, Co-op Con, library conversation

Panel member JD reported the outreach calendar and recent scheduling progress: a phone call with Samuel Goodwin at the library is set for Thursday, the CU "be involved" fair is tentatively set for Aug. 26 in the afternoon at Fair and Fields, and the Co-op Con event is scheduled for Sept. 18-20 in North Boulder.
"Co op Con will be the 18th through the 20th. We have flexibility on which day we wanna come together," JD said, and requested availability from other panel members. The co-chairs and staff noted that the event process document will be added to next month's agenda and that panel participation should be publicly noticed to avoid open-meetings concerns.
Panel members agreed that it's appropriate for multiple panelists to attend public events and asked staff to prepare a sign-up sheet and to place the event process document in the September agenda packet. The panel intends to use short presentations or tabling to provide information about police oversight and distribute flyers at events.
