Council approves second ordinance adjusting future rights-of-way map

The Preston City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 20 25''nine, which vacates short future rights-of-way shown on the city's major street plan and establishes an effective date after dispensing with multiple readings.
City clerk Linda Haycock read the ordinance summary that lists the specific continuations of 800 South and 700 West (each approximately one block) to be removed from the major street plan; staff said these edits match prior Planning & Zoning action and will be memorialized by the ordinance. Council member Chris Larson moved the ordinance, which carried with unanimous recorded "aye" votes.
Council thanked Planning & Zoning and staff for completing the review and noted the action enables certain parcel-level developments to proceed without conflicting mapping.
