Supervisor Susan Wood presented a quote from CST to bring town office computers into compliance with new regulations. After discussion about cost savings from desktops vs. laptops, the board voted to purchase four refurbished desktops (for the Assessor, Accountant, Highway Superintendent, and Code Enforcement) and one new laptop for the Supervisor; the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the board adopted a procurement resolution authorizing the Supervisor and/or Town Clerk to make purchases of up to $2,000 per claim without prior board approval, provided such purchases are presented for audit at the next regular meeting. The resolution text states it "authorizes the Supervisor and/or Town Clerk to make purchases of up to $2000 per claim without prior board approval;" the board recorded unanimous Ayes.
