Gus Wood provided a financial update for Tri‑Town Rescue during the Privilege of the Floor, saying the organization raised $50,000.00 from a letter campaign and has made organizational changes that improved its outlook. "The Rescue received $50,000.00 from a letter campaign," he reported, and said the group changed billing companies and paid off the balance on its building.
Wood said Tri‑Town Rescue expects a new rescue vehicle to arrive in February or March 2026 and currently has approximately $500,000.00 in the bank, which management hopes will fund a second rescue squad in the future. He told the board that the rescue is not asking for an increase in town support for the coming year.
