Trustee William Kettle moved and trustees approved a festival application from the Historical Society for a Chicken BBQ on Sept. 29, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at Trigon Park. The resolution was seconded by Trustee James Bonacquisti and recorded as passed. In public comment, resident Nancy Crocker announced 87 people had signed up for the village- and town-wide garage sale scheduled for Sept. 7, taking place alongside the April Finds Vendor Market (about 90 vendors).
Trustee Bonacquisti additionally noted the Rotary Club will run a hotdog stand at the Save-A-Lot parking lot on Sept. 7 to collect money and food donations for a Backpack program coordinated by First Baptist Church. The board did not attach additional conditions to the festival approval in the workshop minutes.
