The Village of Le Roy Board of Trustees on Jan. 15 approved Pay Application #2 for Phase 3 of the village wastewater treatment facility, authorizing $426,170 to STC Construction Inc.
Trustee William Kettle moved to "Approve Pay App #2 in the amount of $426,170 for STC Construction Inc.," a motion seconded by Trustee Richard Tetrault and approved with Trustee Tetrault, Trustee Raymond Yacuzzo, Trustee Kettle and Mayor Gregory Rogers voting Aye (Trustee Bonacquisti was absent). WWTF Superintendent Steven Carroll told trustees the plant is running at roughly 30% capacity, which he said leaves room to accommodate new development without immediate capacity upgrades.
Supporters said advancing Phase 3 is necessary to complete contracted work and maintain the construction schedule. The Board did not discuss amendments to the application at the meeting. The pay application and its approval represent a continuing capital outlay in the village’s wastewater infrastructure program; the Board recorded the formal vote on the motion.
