Board hears Blue Ribbon Phase 2 construction updates from Dr. Nesbitt

At Craig Academy, he pointed to a nearly finished cafetorium stage, a new commercial kitchen hood and a new elevator in the main lobby. "That takes you through all your photos for blue ribbon phase 2," Dr. Nesbitt said, "I'm happy to field any questions."
Board members responded with gratitude for staff work to complete projects before students returned. Mavis Lawrence thanked the team specifically for the Forest Glen playground, saying it "has received rave reviews". Other board members relayed student and parent feedback about bright new gym floors and classroom readiness. The presentation emphasized that much of the roofing and HVAC work was completed over the summer to ensure buildings were ready for the school year.
The update did not include scheduled completion dates for every project; Dr. Nesbitt invited follow-up questions from the board and indicated staff would provide further details as needed.
