Board of Physical Therapy clerical fixes and supervised-hours exemption get committee approval

Libby Johnson of the Department of Health told the committee the Board of Physical Therapy had submitted rule edits to clarify language and remove a requirement that non-CAPTE graduates complete 480 clinical hours in a supervised practice setting if they have been licensed in good standing in another state for five or more years. The Board's prior hearing in December 2025 had produced no public comments relevant to the clerical corrections.
Committee members had no substantive questions and moved the rule package with a positive recommendation; both chambers approved the committee recommendation by voice vote and roll call as recorded.
