Sheridan County discusses releasing Lake DeSmet water to help streamflows; chair authorized to consult Johnson County

After discussion of options and potential impacts, Commissioner Mike Arzy moved "to allow the chairwoman to reach out to Johnson County Board of Commissioners for a potential plan of action to use Sheridan County water to supplement the stream flow if needed." The Board recorded the motion as passed unanimously. No specific release volumes or timing were set at the meeting; the motion authorized intergovernmental outreach to explore a plan.
