Board President Andrea Fairhurst, reporting for the Audit Committee, told the Board the district purchased Account Tree software to manage Student Activity Funds and that the software provides reporting, check writing and reconciliation functions. She also said the district’s garbage removal expenses increased by $26,000 beyond what was budgeted and that external auditors will present findings next month.
"A new software program, Account Tree, has been purchased to manage our Student Activity Funds," Fairhurst said during the Audit Committee report. The Board approved the Treasurer’s Report, budget transfers and monthly financial report on a motion recorded as carried unanimously (RESO #2-09/23/2024).
Mr. Michael Cusack noted he was recently appointed to the Troy IDA and will report back to the Board. The minutes do not record further discussion of the $26,000 variance or an immediate budget amendment; the Audit Committee will present the auditors’ findings at a future meeting.
