Paulsboro Land Use Board confirms 2026 leadership, planners and rules

The Borough of Paulsboro Land Use Board unanimously approved most reorganizational resolutions on Jan. 6, 2026, naming Robert DeAngelo chairman, Jennifer Maden vice chair and Elsie Tedeski secretary, and selecting CME Associates as planner and Sickels & Associates as engineer; one vote opposed the solicitor appointment.
The Paulsboro Land Use Board on Jan. 6 moved quickly through its annual reorganization, approving a slate of officers, consultants and procedural rules for 2026.
Administrator Vernon Marino nominated Robert DeAngelo as chairman; the motion passed with all members voting aye. DeAngelo then nominated Jennifer Maden as vice chair; that nomination also passed unanimously. Marino's nomination of Elsie Tedeski for board secretary and CME Associates as the borough planner were approved by the board without opposition.
The board approved a series of additional housekeeping motions: Sickels & Associates was named borough engineer (PB-05-2026); meeting dates for 2026 were established (PB-07-2026); the board designated its official newspapers for public notices (PB-08-2026); and it adopted Robert's Rules of Order for 2026 meetings (PB-09-2026).
One reorganization vote was not unanimous. The nomination of John Alice, Esq., as borough Land Use Board solicitor (PB-06-2026) passed with a single nay from member Ben Mento; the transcript records the roll call showing that dissent. No abstentions were recorded on the reorganizational resolutions.
The board also discussed how to handle extra meetings during 2026. Solicitor John Alice advised that the board may add meetings during the month as needed so long as each additional meeting is publicly noticed rather than included in the resolution establishing meeting dates.
The board memorialized minutes from its Dec. 2 and Dec. 15, 2025 meetings at the start of the session; that motion passed unanimously.
