At the Oct. 14 meeting Mr. Peter Loftus told the board that the opening of new high‑school bathrooms was delayed because incorrect door hardware was shipped and the district is awaiting the correct parts. He said preliminary discussions identified additional scope projects that could be addressed if contingency funding remains for the multipurpose field; those contingency funds will be held pending any unforeseen issues during preparation and installation.
Superintendent Merritt Holly reported that the painting and flooring in the band room are complete but the district is waiting for the rooftop unit to be commissioned before reoccupying the space. The facilities committee also discussed the possibility of removing hedgerow bushes at Hartwood Park entrances and replacing them with a lower fence to match existing fencing.
