Acting on the superintendent’s recommendation, the board approved the creation of the teaching assistant position by unanimous vote. The board then approved probationary teaching appointments including Charlotte Dertien (Elementary Teacher, four‑year probationary; Tenure Date Sept. 1, 2029; salary: Step 3 of LTA Contract) and Megan Newcombe (Special Education Teacher, four‑year probationary; salary: Step 1), and probationary teaching assistant appointments for Ally Flint, Brooke Forbes, Heather Staskiewicz and Margaret Eigbrett, all effective Sept. 1, 2025 with tenure dates of Sept. 1, 2029 and salary/benefits pursuant to the LTA contract.
"Acting upon a recommendation of the Superintendent and on a motion given by Mr. Loftus and seconded by Mrs. Dowell, the Board of Education approved the following probationary teaching appointment," the meeting minutes read, listing the appointments and contract references.
