Councilmember Tiffany Smith said she would post a notice on the town’s Facebook page asking residents to sign to help the petition move forward. The minutes also note adjacent Bay-area concerns raised by a resident (Ray Seigfred) about allowing extended time from DEC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to move excess material on a barrier bar and about boat-launch and shoreline improvements; the board discussed coordinating cleanup and weed-harvesting requests with DEC.
