Rogers also said she would not support a proposed Marshall tax measure, citing social media claims and petition materials she said emphasized fire funding while downplaying other uses. Board members noted the tax outcome is uncertain and that the draft budget cannot depend on that revenue at this stage.
Board members told the public the workshop is intended for feedback and said staff will supply more transparent breakdowns of benefit costs, retiree rules and program revenues in the next packet.
