It is about economic security, responsible tribal governance, cultural preservation, and our continued ability to care for our people while contributing to the broader region," Khan said.
Matthew Lee described the amendment as consistent with other post‑Chicken Ranch cleanups and noted a commonly negotiated increase of 500 devices for this tribe. Khan said the extension would help sustain roughly 2,000 jobs and the broader Tri‑County economic impact.
