The Le Roy Central School Board voted to approve an intermunicipal Memorandum of Agreement to merge a varsity girls’ wrestling program with Alexander, Byron‑Bergen, Pembroke and Honeoye Falls‑Lima districts for the period Oct. 15, 2025 through June 30, 2026. The action was taken "as presented, and pending approval from Section V and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association," per the meeting packet. The motion was moved by Jason Karcher and seconded by Rachael Greene; the recorded vote was 6 Yes, 1 Absent (Mrs. Dowell).
Superintendent Merritt Holly presented the agreement as an interdistrict collaboration intended to field a combined varsity girls' program. The approval is conditional on the regional Section V office and the statewide athletic association completing their administrative approvals; the board did not take any additional binding steps beyond approving the district's participation contingent on those approvals.
