The Hudson River Valley Greenway Communities Council approved several municipal designations on March 11, 2026. The Village of Galway (Saratoga County), Village of South Glens Falls (Saratoga County), and the Town of New Baltimore (Greene County) were accepted as Greenway Communities. Separately, the Town of Rye (Westchester County) passed a local law to align with Westchester County Compact guidelines and was recorded as following the Compact.
Dan Jeanson reviewed the submitted resolutions and local laws; G. Angela Henry moved to approve the designations and Bob Elliott seconded. The council recorded unanimous acceptance of the designations. Meeting minutes do not list specific funding tied to the designations; they reflect only the formal acceptance of the community and compact statuses.
