Le Roy board approves new aide positions, several personnel changes and coaching appointment

On a motion by Jason Karcher, seconded by Christine Dowell, the board approved the two part‑time teacher aide positions with Genesee County Civil Service (Voting: 7 Yes, 0 No). The board also accepted MaryAnn Sullivan’s resignation as clerk‑typist effective Jan. 5, 2026 (retirement), and accepted the resignation of Abby Lambert, teaching assistant, effective Oct. 24, 2025 (personal reasons). The board approved the coaching appointment of Timothy Spezzano as Volunteer Assistant Boys’ Basketball Coach (stipend N/A, with LTA). Each motion carried 7-0.
Separately, the board approved several probationary-to-permanent status changes: Crystal Ellingham to permanent clerk‑typist effective Nov. 12, 2025; Patrick Mutter to permanent head custodian effective Nov. 12, 2025; and Maegan White to permanent clerk‑typist effective Dec. 2, 2025. All status changes were approved by unanimous votes. The motions to accept resignations and enact these personnel changes were made by individual trustees and recorded with the full board voting in favor.
The personnel actions were presented on recommendation of Superintendent Merritt Holly and were carried as part of routine business; no public comments or objections are recorded in the minutes.
