Mayor Russ Porter announced a new South Ogden summer event: Shakespeare in the Park, performed by Grassroots Shakespeare Company. “Performances will be the 2nd Tuesday of June, July, and August,” Porter said, listing productions: The Comedy of Errors on June 10 at Nature Park, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet as a doubleheader on July 8 at Friendship Park, and Macbeth on August 12 at Nature Park. He described the productions as presented in original practice style and said each would run about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.
Porter thanked the neighborhood Walmart manager Anthony for support of the series and encouraged residents to bring picnic chairs and follow the city’s website or Facebook for times and specifics. He did not provide ticketing or accessibility details during the update; those specifics are available on the event pages the city maintains.
