Mayor Russ Porter announced that the South Ogden Fire Department is adding a new Enforcer 100-foot tower truck to its fleet. “The Southland City Fire Department is on its way to elevated heights with a new Enforcer 100 foot tower truck in layman's terms. That's a ladder truck,” Porter said, and noted the vehicle is being built by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin with an estimated arrival at the end of August.
Porter invited the public to follow photo updates of the build on a Facebook event the city has set up. He did not provide the purchase price or funding source during the update; those details would require follow-up with the city’s fire department or finance office.
