Students propose Sensory Room; Community Foundation donates $2,500

Jeff Katz of the Community Foundation of Otsego County attended and presented the students with a $2,500 check "to pay for supplies for the Sensory Room." President C. Struckle addressed the students and "thanked them for doing a wonderful job on the presentation." The student presenters named in the minutes were B. Mann, L. Cox, K. Capraro and A. Johnson.
The proposal was presented under the Student Voices, Student Choices program; the minutes record the donation and the students' expressed goal but do not record a formal board vote to appropriate district funds for build-out. The board will consider next steps through administrative channels and any required approvals or budgeting will be handled separately.
