South Ogden announces community CPR class March 14; capacity, age limit, fee noted

Russ Porter, presenting the March 2025 South Ogden city update, said the fire department is offering community CPR classes aimed at residents.
"Fire guys are offering community CPR classes," Porter said, announcing the first session for "Friday, March 14 from 6PM to 9PM" at the fire station and providing the address, 3950 Adams Avenue. He said each session will be capped at 25 attendees and that participants must be at least 14 years old; "The cost is $50," Porter added, and he said staff will work with residents if the fee is a barrier. The city provided a QR code in its monthly newsletter for registration; Porter also offered an email for help: rporter@southboundca.gov.
Porter said he had "just got recertified in CPR last Friday by our deputy fire chief," and urged residents to attend because "there's been some changes to how we administer CPR." The presenter framed the classes as both a public-safety training and a community service opportunity.
Residents interested in attending should register soon because seats are limited to 25 per session. The city announced additional sessions and pricing options were not specified in the update.
