Board signs off on wastewater Plant Phase 2 substantial-completion certificates; superintendent flags leak and rising UV bulb costs

WWTF Superintendent Steven Carroll told trustees that contractors are finishing work: "the roof is done and looks fantastic," the prefab building is in place and electrical installation is underway. He reported staff found a leak in the new influent building after recent driving rain (he identified the cupola as the likely source), that UV disinfection bulbs have roughly doubled in cost, and that phosphorus has become an operational issue requiring attention.
Trustee Raymond Yacuzzo moved to approve the certificates of substantial completion for the listed contractors; the board voted unanimously. No schedule or cost adjustment from the board was recorded in the minutes for addressing the leak, higher UV bulb costs, or phosphorus treatment issues.
