Mayor urges vigilance in parks as South Ogden enters busy summer season

Mayor Russ Porter opened the city’s June update by encouraging residents to enjoy summer and to report vandalism or damage in South Ogden parks. “Please speak up if you see someone breaking or vandalizing anything or give the police a call,” Porter said, adding that small problems such as broken bathroom locks are usually the result of damage and should be reported.

Porter framed the appeal as part of broader summertime stewardship: with children and teachers on break, parks see increased use. He also tied park safety to other seasonal work the city manages, asking residents to be patient with crews and to contact city services when they notice problems.
