Supervisor Dave Fantuzzo reported that the East Breakwater Project is scheduled to begin in June with dredging planned for early July. He said the goal is to achieve a 14–15-foot draft in the middle of the channel and to continue dredging to about 3 feet into the lake; dredged material will be placed roughly two miles into the lake and the operation is expected to take 10–15 days.
Fantuzzo also said Crescent Beach will receive one more "eyebrow" repair expected to be completed by the end of May and confirmed the county is responsible for beach maintenance. He said excess funding from the East Breakwater Project will be used to repair the west end of the pier leading to the lighthouse.
No board vote was recorded on the breakwater or dredging update; the item was an informational report from the supervisor.
