Hunter police report raises concern that NYSDEC will stop plowing North‑South Lake parking lots

The police report recorded 128 calls for service in October, 6 arrests, 71 uniform traffic tickets and 70 parking tickets. Sgt. Robert Haines stated, "it has come to his attention that NYSDEC will no longer be plowing the parking lots at Laurel House and Scutt roads," and told the board the lots were full over the past weekend. Supervisor Sean Mahoney said he will send correspondence on the matter and Highway Superintendent Robert Blain said the town already plows the lower half of the Laurel House parking lot.
The minutes show the board acknowledged the police report and agreed to follow up with DEC to seek clarification or restoration of plowing services in that area.
