Hunter authorizes $196,283 bond for snowplow, declares aging equipment surplus

Councilman Dolph Semenza moved to authorize a bond for a Peterbilt snowplow with a balance due of $196,283 on a five-year callable term; Councilman Ernest Reale seconded the motion and it passed 4–0 (Legg absent). The minutes record the bond's balance as "$196,283 for a five (5) year term & callable." The board then declared a 1999 International dump truck, a 2017 TORO mower, a 1995 Ingersol Rand vibratory roller and a 1987 Fiat Allis grader surplus.
Superintendent of Highways Robert Blain said the surplus items will be advertised on GovDeals and Supervisor Mahoney suggested also using Facebook Marketplace to find buyers. The record does not list a buyer or reserve price; the board approved the surplus designation and directed staff to proceed with disposal and advertising.
