Le Roy board accepts several resignations and approves multiple staffing appointments

On Aug. 26 the Le Roy Central School Board accepted several personnel resignations and approved a slate of appointments on Superintendent Merritt Holly's recommendations. The board accepted Amanda DeConinck's resignation as an elementary teacher effective Aug. 13, 2025 (she accepted a position with Pittsford CSD), Patrick Donohue's resignation as a permanent building substitute effective Aug. 22, 2025 (to take another district position), and Brianna Gannon's resignation as a teaching assistant effective Aug. 31, 2025 for personal reasons. All resignations were recorded with votes of 7 Yes, 0 No.
The board also approved appointments: Megan Frisbee as a Category II long‑term substitute elementary teacher (1.0 FTE) for Sept. 2, 2025–June 26, 2026 at Step 1 of the LTA contract; Matthew Boyce as a probationary special education teacher effective Sept. 2, 2025 with a tenure date of Sept. 2, 2029 (Step 4 salary); and extracurricular/coaching assignments including Deborah Hertzler (mentor), Jessica Pcionek (6th‑grade musical director), Jessa Dechant (musical assistant), David Russell (modified volleyball coach) and Amy Palozzi (mentor). Voting on these personnel items was unanimous where recorded.
