Le Roy board approves multiple personnel appointments, accepts resignations
Summary
The board accepted three staff resignations and approved several probationary and substitute appointments — including a special education teacher, occupational therapist and IT technician — at the July 8 reorganization meeting.
During the July 8 meeting the Board accepted resignations from Sherry Roberts‑Snell (school bus driver, effective June 25, 2025), Amy Kaplun (teaching assistant, effective June 30, 2025) and Danielle Bailey (special education teacher, effective Aug. 16, 2025). Each resignation was accepted by a 6–0 vote with one absence.
The Board approved several new appointments: Alicia Forti was hired as a three‑year probationary Special Education teacher effective Sept. 1, 2025 (tenure date Sept. 1, 2028) at Step 11 of the LTA contract; Jacob Purdy was approved for an IT Operation Technician I (Genesee County Civil Service HELP Program), effective July 24, 2025; and Cali Nichols was approved as an Occupational Therapist at $45,000/year (probationary, must attain full NYS licensure within one year). Several substitute and extracurricular staffing appointments were also approved for the Extended School Year and the fall athletic and marching band seasons.
