The South Ogden City Council on June 3 approved Resolution 25-13 to finalize a three-year fireworks agreement with Dragon Dynamite Displays for the city’s South Ogden Days celebration.
Danielle (staff) told the council the original three-year contract covering 2024–2026 had not been fully executed and that tariff increases require a small surcharge. “We have to add a little pricing to our fireworks display this year to keep it the same as last year,” Danielle said, explaining the vendor agreement adds a $900 tariff charge for 2025 while maintaining the $10,000 base rate for the multi‑year contract.
Councilors moved, seconded and approved the resolution on a roll call vote. Staff said the city intends to issue a request for proposals again after the 2026 season to seek future multi‑year contracts.
The approved agreement formalizes the vendor relationship and authorizes the mayor and staff to sign contract documents so the event can proceed under the updated pricing and terms.
