He described logistical planning (motorcade, police and EMS coordination, school participation) and said the group will pay detail rates for public safety staff and cover many operational costs but sought relief on licensing and deposit fees to help offset fundraising shortfalls. The board discussed the partnership and community value of the exhibit and voted to grant the 50% fee waiver and related waivers; the motion passed unanimously.
Staff noted the event had already received a $25,000 tourism revenue preservation grant and that organizers will continue to collaborate with police, fire and other town departments to finalize logistics. The board encouraged community support and thanked organizers for bringing the exhibit to Yarmouth.
