Town engineering staff presented crash and injury data used to select intersections; a MassDOT warrant process looks at crash experience, sight distance and traffic volumes. "They had selected these intersections based on crash data," Engineering staff said, noting prior conversions (Station Ave & Wood Road) had reduced accidents. Members discussed behavior change and enforcement, and staff said the materials will be ordered after the board signs the memorandum of agreement and MassDOT schedules installation.
The board approved two separate motions to accept the all‑way stop conversions; both votes passed unanimously. Staff said DPW will cover installation costs (signs, pavement markings) and MassDOT will deliver signs, with estimated implementation this fall or the following spring.
