Piedmont unveils winter–spring activity guide with expanded camps and new classes

The Piedmont Recreation Department presented highlights from its winter–spring 2026 activity guide (January–May), including registration windows for residents and nonresidents, recurring adult programs at 801 Magnolia Avenue, and a large slate of youth camps. Supervisor Eva Phelan described a March 11 "Hawk Talk" raptor presentation, Play Like a Girl on May 3 at Winterfield Complex, expanded neurodiverse Sidekicks sessions, and increased spring-break camp capacity (14 camps) aligned to the local school district schedule.
Phelan said the department is piloting new adult classes including "AI tools for work creativity and productivity," language classes (Spanish for kids, Mandarin for adults), and additional teen volunteer programs; facility rental bookings for the community center and Veterans Memorial Building open on Jan. 7. She encouraged early registration to help with planning and staffing.
