The Village of Hudson Falls Board of Trustees unanimously resolved to approve disbursement of funds for a previously authorized fire truck purchase from Queensbury Central, contingent on the lapse of the 30‑day public response period associated with the permissive referendum.
Clerk Cassandra Allen told the board there is "a grace period of 30 days for the public to respond," and Attorney Bill Nikas advised that the board could approve the audit to allow the check to be cut once that period ends. The board voted to approve the disbursement prior to the next board meeting.
Separately, the board declared former Engine E362 surplus and directed that it be prepared for listing at auction. Mayor Barton asked the Fire Department to inform the Clerk's Office when the former truck is ready to be submitted for auction.
