Board moves into executive session for legal advice and negotiator instructions

Near the close of the study session, Commissioner Campbell moved and Commissioner Fields seconded a motion to convene an executive session under Colorado statutes to receive legal advice and to develop negotiation strategy on multiple matters: a Baraza case and micromobility/grant topics; a settlement demand from Simon Grosby; a Boom Supersonic follow-up; and a Beehive Industries incentive-payment agreement. The motion carried on a voice vote and the board entered executive session.
The executive-session motion was taken in open session with a public roll-call-style voice vote; staff recorded that the motion passed and the board recessed into closed session for attorney-client advice and negotiator instructions as allowed under Colorado law.
