Board President Troy Pankratz thanked Dr. Bergstrom "for the District's accomplishments under her leadership and her dedicated years of service to the Oregon School District." The board's action sets the timeline for a superintendent search and follows routine board governance procedures for leadership transition.
The retirement acceptance was one of several action items at the Oct. 13 meeting that also included approvals related to board policy, committee charters and contracting for a search firm. The Board subsequently approved a contract with McPherson & Jacobson L.L.C. to conduct the search (see related article).
