Huron creates three-person noise committee after talks with Skippers Landing; owners asked to lower volume and drop profanity

The Town of Huron Planning Board on Sept. 3 confirmed formation of a three-person noise committee that has been meeting with concerned residents and representatives of Skippers Landing to address complaints about live music and volume.
"The meeting was very positive," Planning Board member Deb Stuck reported. She said the committee — composed of Stuck, Kip DeLisio and Phil Eygnor — met with Skippers Landing and that the business has requested its musicians "reduce the volume and eliminate any profanity from the lyrics." The committee meetings are intended to mediate complaints and seek cooperative solutions rather than immediate enforcement actions.
Board members noted the constructive tone of the discussions and did not propose immediate regulatory changes at the Sept. 3 meeting; instead, the committee will continue outreach and report back to the board with any recommendations.
