The board voted to cancel the annual DryJect aeration for the season and to try an alternative approach to improve the ailing greens. Cole Burdick told the board maintenance has been hand-watering greens with a county water truck while awaiting activation of course irrigation; the board approved purchasing high-nutrient mulch to add organic material to the greens.
Burdick said he will contact a mulch supplier to arrange purchase and that maintenance staff are currently sharing time at the course to address multiple maintenance needs. The decision is intended as a near-term measure while irrigation is restored and longer-term solutions are considered.
