By Resolution 26-1-18 the Town Board approved a contribution of $8,500 for the Boquet Valley Youth Commission for calendar year 2026. The resolution notes Lewis will pay $4,000 in January and $4,500 in May; the Town of Elizabethtown and Town of Westport were recorded as contributing equal amounts ($8,500 each) to commission operations for 2026.
Councilperson Terry Pulsifer reported volunteer support from the varsity girls' basketball team at recent youth games and said he expected to attend more Youth Commission meetings after the basketball season. Pulsifer also observed the commission has not requested additional funds for many years, suggesting the commission may ask for more in future budget cycles. The contribution was approved by recorded vote with no dissent.
