Presenter proposes Thrall habitat and trail work using tourism funds

McNally told the board he would like to focus on multiple habitat improvements, saying the project would include "Controlling Invasive Species, Improve Trail work and Fishery and Hunting Habitat." Supervisor James Monty asked the board to review McNally's attached proposal and said he would like to move forward and have the topic on the next meeting agenda.
The proposal, as presented, links tourism funding to on-the-ground stewardship intended to improve wildlife habitat and recreational access. The board did not take a formal vote; Monty asked members to examine the written proposal and indicated a fuller discussion and possible next steps would occur at the next board meeting.
If the board advances the proposal, staff would need to confirm grant-eligibility with ROOST and identify any matching or implementation requirements before work begins.
