Highway superintendent says FEMA work caught up; blacktopping postponed to next year

Highway Superintendent Kevin Denton told the Town Board that crews are caught up with FEMA work, are drawing winter sand and stockpiling gravel, and that previously planned blacktopping has been cancelled and will roll over to next year.
Supervisor James Monty announced that FEMA personnel will be on site Oct. 22, 2024. The board did not take additional action at the meeting; the highway update was accepted as part of the DPW/Water report which the board approved unanimously.
