Brunswick High theater director recognized for shaping statewide drama-education standards

Bryson described the task force's review of the National Association of Schools of Theater (NAST) standards and said the group adopted those standards as a baseline for K–12 teacher preparation: "we met, once in the fall last year, and reviewed what's called the the NAST accreditation," she said.
Board members praised the theater program and expressed appreciation for the work Bryson and students do in the community. The recognition was a ceremonial spotlight item; no board action or funding request was tied to the presentation.
