Highway Superintendent Andy Best told the board on June 10 that he has ordered a Massey Ferguson mowing tractor equipped with side and rear flail mowers. The board discussed adapting the current tractor to accept a broom attachment and reviewed several price quotes for a new broom.
No purchase motion for the broom was made at the meeting; the equipment order for the mower was reported as placed. The board approved the May 2025 Highway Superintendent report by motion of Malcolm Mac Kenzie. Superintendent Best will return with firm pricing and a recommendation if the board must decide between retrofitting the current tractor or buying a new broom attachment.
