Lewiston-Porter board approves resignations, hires, substitutes and coaching appointments

The Lewiston-Porter Board of Education approved a comprehensive personnel consent agenda on Nov. 25 covering resignations, retirements, leaves, reinstatements, substitute appointments and coaching assignments.
Resignations and retirements accepted included Alison Spagnolo (speech-language pathologist; resignation effective 12/04/2024) and Victoria Fillicetti (special education; retirement effective 6/30/2025). The board approved unpaid leaves such as Morgan Cavarello’s child-rearing leave (dates listed in the minutes). The board reinstated Kalie Biddle as a Teacher Aide at the Intermediate Education Center and approved probationary and substitute appointments, specifying pay rates: non-certified substitute teacher per diem $135.00 and substitute clerical hourly rate $18.30. Winter coaching appointments and stipends were approved (example: Alexis David, Varsity Cheer coach, stipend $6,404.00), and volunteer coaches for winter sports were accepted. The consolidated personnel motion was moved by Danielle M. Mullen and seconded by Jack G. Waugaman III; approval was recorded 4-0.
