Union City approves easement with 104 East High Street for stormwater connection to PennDOT basin

Union City Borough approved an easement and agreement Oct. 7 with the property owner at 104 East High Street to address a stormwater connection to a PennDOT basin.
Under the agreement prepared by Solicitor Wachter, the borough will supply and install a catch basin at 104 East High Street and maintain the pipe and two catch basins. The property owner will provide and install a 60-foot pipe from the borough basin to a PennDOT-provided basin and will dig and maintain a ditch from the PennDOT basin to Bentley Run. Council approved the easement/agreement by motion (Councilor Osborn, seconded by Councilor Joyce). The minutes record the agreed division of installation and maintenance responsibilities.
