Union City Borough Manager Cindy Wells informed council members Oct. 7 that the borough received a $75,000 ECGRA Anchor Building Grant and a $35,000 Helping Today Grant administered by the ECF. In addition, the borough received $154,000 from the Community Project Fund through Congressman Mike Kelly’s office.
Wells said the three funding sources add up to $264,000 to continue improvements on the first floor of the City Building. Council did not record debate on use of the funds in the minutes; the receipts and total amount are included in the administrative report section of the official minutes.
