City staff and community members marked the reopening of McFadden Park’s upgraded playground behind City Hall. The redesigned play area features rubberized surfacing with a beach motif, shade elements, a rope‑climbing cube, swings, sensory play apparatus and new slides. City staff thanked manufacturer Game Time for its role in design and acknowledged a $500,000 county contribution that covered the cost of improvements.
The ribbon‑cutting included brief remarks noting the park will serve families and that county and city partners helped deliver the project without drawing on local general‑fund dollars for the construction. The park is open to the public.
