Resident asks for due-process review of solid-waste special assessment

"I feel I haven't received a right to due process," she told commissioners, asking for some form of mediation or reconsideration. County legal staff explained that the assessment was adopted following noticed public hearings and that TRIM notices and other mailings provided opportunity for public comment before adoption.
Commissioners expressed sympathy for Bryant’s situation and recommended she obtain copies of her TRIM notices and other mailings from the property appraiser and clerk if she believes she was not properly notified. The board said the assessment decision has been implemented and that further action would likely need to follow administrative or legal channels outside today's meeting.
